This is taken from a review of a spongebob dvd containing hollowe'en episodes.I saw this episode just the other day...
"It's Halloween, and try as he might, poor Spongebob just can't scare anyone. Mr. Krabs spooks him with the story of The Flying Dutchman, and Spongebob and Patrick embark on a surreal attempt to scare everyone at the Krusty Krab Halloween party. The episode ends with a really bizarre visual that is both funny and weirdly disturbing. "
anyways, yeah, i agree with the review I was a little aghast at the ending,it was really shocking but also equally hilarious....I'm not so sure about little, little kids watching this,though.....

Hey, I just remembered something I saw on "spongebob squarepants"that absolutly hit my sense of humour better than almost any other movie, show or any other source of entertainment.
Spongebob and Patrick are trying to sell chocolate bars door-to-door and they realise they need to get their salesmen act together if they want to sell anything so they go up to a door and a very old fish answers, spongebob says "Hello YOUNG lady,is your mother around?" and the fish wheels out her mother! it's absolutly hilarious because her mother is a brown shrivel of a thing with big holes for eyes, basically a wrinkly worm with a ugly shriveled head.... and she can't hear anything so the daughter fish has to shout everything at her.....it struck my sense of humour because it's completly disturbing on the one hand (she's really quite scary looking) but spongebob and patricks reactions are priceless....it totally reminded me of "death in the sickroom a la caleb" which is one the earliest pictures on my fotopage......
I've noticed on occasion how on spongebob squarpants every once in a while ,they'll show a disturbing closeup of a character or just something really shocking and disturbing,so much so that it can,at times take a while before you can get past it and laugh....I really love that show,it one of the most wacked out cartoons I've ever seen, but it makes me laugh till i cry,at one point i still thought "ren and stimpy" was better but I've completly changed my mind now,I think spongebob squarepants is far more clever and spongebob is so endearing, one of the best role-models for kids,he's incredibly upbeat, anyone who's seen the show knows that.in one episode he finds out that he and his friend have to work the night shift at the krusty krab and he says to his friend "did you hear that squidward?we don't have to quit working at five!we can work all through the night!" with a huge grin on his face of course...anyways it's on of those shows that I never miss an episode of....it's reached that point.....
Anyways, enough of my childrens show love,i'm just pleased that their are actually good cartoons still being made (of course, theres always "the simpsons" if everything else goes to pot)

So apperently the Halo 2 trailer that was shown in movie theaters has a very interesting feature (Halo was an immensly popular X-box game). At the end of the trailer you see the url www.halo2.com or something to that effect but it changes to www.ilovebees.com for a few frames.Well THAT site has become veyr poular as it seems to be somesort of online mystery. The story is that a womans website devoted to her hobbies as a beekeeper was hijacked and the website is now being used to house some sort of agencys information or something, they pose a serious threat to the world.I don't understand the website but I do love it very much,it is really well done it gives you the creeps, something so innocent as beekeeping becomes something to shudder at....There is something else about it that astounds me,there is a link to this womans nieces blogspot.and this neice "dana" is involved and she' trying to figure out what's going on with here aunts website....the blog gets updated too...apperntly ther e is a phone number hidden somewhere and if you phone it you get and answering machine message "hello this is dana.......".Microsoft went to great lengths with this advertising campaign (if that's what it is) and have created something of a cult following with this website, there are some people soley devoted to solving the "ilovebees" mystery.I myself have had my intrest piqued by the website, but of course, I know its most likely nothing more than an elaborate hoax....and as much as I dislike x-box,and thusly halo,I must say "I DO love bees".

I just looked at my last post, when I typed it I swear it didn't seem that long! You have my word I will never type so much again,I know that is a sure way to lose hordes of readers.
I like Delerium I'm not their biggest fan but I should own one of their cd's at least they have some beautiful melodies when you're in the right mood. There is a song called "Innocente" and it features leigh nash, the lead singer from sixpence none the richer. She's in a few delerium songs,I personally think her voic eis much more suited to the style of music, more than in her own band.Anyways ,you should listen to the song and listen for the "Darling, when did you fall, when was it over" it sends chills up my spine, mabye it'll effect you the same way?
Earlier I mentioned that I wanted to see "The triplets of belleville",I popped in my "Big Fish" DVD and showed angie and mom the review for it, and angie said "if it's in blockbuster let's rent it".So mom and angie went to blockbuster angie bought a "Big Fish" DVD (they're only 10 dollars!!! for such a great movie ON DVD!) and mom rented "he triplets of bellville"
I'm now reccomending this films to you,Its a french animation mostly devoid of dialogue, and it's one of the mostodd cartoons you can see,so go see it.Be forewarned,it's not disney and it's also not miyazaki, but it's very fantastic.
anyways,Yeah that's it!Hooray for all of you!

I should say right off, that I decided to blog only because I haven't for a while,no reason besides that.no new revelations,no new mental breakdowns, nothing new or exciting...
Today I got up at 3:45,yes that was exciting.I had to be at work for 5 oclock.
I tel you I'm beat right now,it was a long day.I spent time making smoked salmon canapes.but after I'd toasted and de-crusted a few loaves of bread and butterflyed the thick pieces because there wasn't enough white bread, and cut up a few lemons,I was sent to ye olde dish pitte to try and make it managable again.Later Yuko, the boss's, mothers, foreign exchange student came and after she'd finished helping with the sushi she got to spend the afternoon cleaning up for me while I helped finish those dad-blasted canapes...tommorrow i have dishes from today to do......I tell you I'm the expert dishwasher if you ever need someone to save a rice gummed wok or a burnt gravy-ed pot do it yourself because that's all i do all day.
You know, right now i'm listening to BoC once again,I do believe they are the only band I never get sick of,I like many artists and all sorts of music and I go for stint with each one,but Boc's music is a perpetual stint for me,I'm listening to a song called "Powerline Misfortune" and I do believe it's the most melencholy tracks I've ever heard (along with possibly "in a beautiful place out in the country") it's only one minute and fifteen seconds but it evokes such a strong image in my mind in such a short time,it makes me think of (well, the title kind of help evoke the image) a sunset with the sillouhette of a giant powerline pole just standing there,in fact most of BoC's songs make me think of praries sunsets,(which used to invoke such a bittersweet emotion in me and still do....
But A while ago I was talking with Nate and Gab about the idea of seeing colours while listening to music, and I said i hadn't excperienced that, which is a total crock because almost all songs i listen to make me see certain colours."Geogaddi" is an album i had always said was more colourful than any of Boc's other albums, almost every song has a colour that i associate with it.but I'd rather not bore you with more boc-talk (hah!)so i'll name off some other artists songs and the colours i see.
"Never let me down" -Depeche Mode -City light against the backdrop of a red sky.
"UFO's over leytonstone" -Squarepusher -Dark hazy Green
"Saftey Dance" -Men Without Hats -Sparkly Orange
"Is that why yr still on earth?" -Donato Wharton -Black
"Home and Dry" -Pet Shop Boys -Ultramarine
"Alberto Balsam" -Aphex Twin -Yellow (most of Aphex twin's music resides in the yellow-brownish hues IMOP)
"Iced Cooly" -BoC -Ice Blue!
"Godspeed you Black Emporor" -Sleep -yeah right a 23 minute Prog-rock style epic can't really be designated to ONE colour by it Does evoke powerful imagery nevertheless...
Hey speaking of Godspeed,I burnt one of their albums "Lift yr skinny fists like antennas to heaven" which is four 20 minute track on two discs. And I absolutly love it but I can never listen to it because during the day I want instant gratification not the slow-burning waiting type of music, and at night when i'm in bed it just about makes me jump out of my skin with it huge sudden crashes of loud trumpets and crashing drums.See,it slowly builds up and it's peaceful then WHAM and you're AWAKE! so i can listen to it at times like this, and it's beautiful and it's background music but still very nice indeed...if you have high-speed i urge you to download "sleep" and spend twenty minutes listening to it in all it's orchestral glory.they're from Saskatchewan!isn't that great?i think it is......
So I went to Blockbuster and looked and looked for a used DVD they did have called "serial experiments:Lain" it was onl;y 12 dollars and had the first 4 episodes of this anime (which is all i've seen but wanted to buy the dvd anyways because the first 4 episodes were very good) but it seems someone else likes anime too!!?!?? it was gone....
Y'know the more animes i see the less gorund i realise "the matrix" broke.Lain is justg as trippy, mabye more so, than the matrix. It's all about a girl who commits suicide and contacts lain through lains computer saying she's given up her body but she's still alive in "the wired" which is basically the internet only more huge.it's bizarre because lain starts realising that the internet and the world are far more connected than she'd thought like.it's extremly well-made,very mysterious and it's got tons of awesome art in it.and the story is so engrossing to see how the lines between the wired and the real world start to blur to the point where it seems you don't even need a computer to go online.but it's got an obvious dark side which was only hinted at....
anyways. I should go to bed.I'm going to listen to Depeche Modes "Violator" wich is probably their best album, great gothic/dance songs like "Blue dress" (whoever thought a guy requesting his girlfriend put on his faveorite blue dress could have such creepy undertones?) and "Halo" (which has the amazing line "You wear guilt, like shackles on your feet, like a halo in reverse" I think that is a totally awesome ) it's a great album.I actually found it for only 3 dollars in one valuevillage and then i found another at a differnt value viullage,i'm thinking of buying it and giving to one of my friends,I don't know if she likes DM but she's bound to at least appreiciate the cover art.....
I am so tired it's probably showing through like mustard under a cheap-ass thin slice of tomato...
